Dr. Burç Pekpınarlı was born in Eskişehir in 1989. After completing her primary and secondary education in Eskişehir, she began her dental studies at Ege University Faculty of Dentistry in 2007 and graduated in 2013. The following year, she started her PhD in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the same university.
During her doctoral training, Dr. Burç Pekpınarlı focused extensively on regenerative endodontic treatments of young permanent molars, in addition to working on behavior management techniques, nitrous oxide–oxygen sedation, and dental treatments under general anesthesia for children with special conditions. In 2021, she successfully completed her program and earned the title of PhD in Pediatric Dentistry.
She has contributed to several scientific studies, including research published in 2020 on the impact of jaw structure and dental caries on the quality of life in children, as well as a study evaluating oral microbiome dysbiosis in neutropenic children. In 2024, she served as the lead clinician and first author of a study assessing regenerative endodontic treatment in permanent molars requiring root canal therapy due to caries.
